Founded
in 1956 as a motor producer, TECO Group has grown rapidly over the
decades to become a fully diversified conglomerate with operations in
the industrial products, home appliance, information technology,
communications, electronics, key components, infrastructure
construction, investment and food service sectors. It is also actively
involved in major public construction works in Taiwan.
After years of effort, TECO has upgraded its operations from
conventional heavy electric and home appliance production to become a
global high-tech enterprise group with a business reach to over 30
countries on five continents. Its global partners include General
Electric, Westinghouse and Eastman Kodak of the U.S., Yaskawa and
Mitsubishi of Japan, Ericsson of Sweden, and Giesecke & Devrient of
Germany.
Going forward, TECO will continue to cultivate its core industries as
well as aggressively develop smart products and other high added-value
businesses. It will expand its operations in high-tech industries and
emerging markets around the world to build a cross-industry global
brand representing breadth of vision, high quality, and high-tech
solutions for businesses and consumers.
